As someone who used to work in a business that had 5000 customers a month I completely understand that statistically there will always be the rare job with a tiny mishap that shouldn’t represent the other 99% of competence. I was unfortunately that 1% statistic however where a tiny pinched seal allowed my auto gearbox to slowly lose fluid and my gearbox stopped working 4 days after its service. The real mark of a business is how they deal with problems and genuinely everyone I’ve told this story to has been in shock at how well Horton Cars immediately looked after me. The owner on the phone immediately said (without me remotely pointing a finger) “There’s no smoke without fire, we know it’ll have been us and we’ll get it sorted straight away” and sincere apologies alongside. But given that I live 135 miles away I was amazed at the dedication to getting my car towed to and from them and the fact they returned my fixed car free of charge the day after taking delivery of it. £1200 So yes, thank you, Horton!
